SUMMARY:Women’s Community Network Come n Try Badminton 21 February
DESCRIPTION:\nOur first AQA Women’s Network meeting for 2026 will be an exciting Come ‘n Try Para Badminton session!\nAbbie Rothery, Victorian Para Badminton Coach, will be hosting the day and has hired out 2 courts for us at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC) at Albert Park on Saturday 21st of February. Racquets and shuttles will be supplied, and you can play in your own manual wheelchair however, for safety, it is best to bring your anti-tippers if you have them.\nBadminton is a growing sport, attracting many participants every year both competitively and socially.  So, whether you are competitive or just wanting to have some fun, come along as it will be a great opportunity for our network to meet, have fun and learn something new for the year! The courts are booked from 1pm to 2pm, however, to enjoy more time together we can all meet prior for some lunch at 11.30am. You can either bring your own lunch or purchase from nearby cafe.\nAs always, family, friends and carers are welcome.\n\nWhere: Come & Try Para Badminton – MSAC Entrance at 30 Aughtie Drive, Albert Park\nWhen: Saturday 21 February 2026\nTime: 11.30am for an early lunch; 12.30pm for meet & greet with Para Badminton Coach; 1pm start play.\nParking: Various accessible parking spots at Albert Park Lake and MSAC.\n\n\n\n\nIf you have any questions please get in touch via 03 9489 0777 or community@aqa.org.au\n\n
