Women’s Community Network Come n Try Boccia 27 September
Come and join us for Boccia! Ethan Horan from Boccia Australia has offered to host the Women’s Network for a Come n’ Try Boccia Day on September 27 – we’re stoked to learn all about this very inclusive sport.
As you may have seen in the Paralympics, both Jamieson Leeson and Daniel Michel won silver medals in Boccia. Boccia is an indoor bowling game that requires strategy and accuracy rather than strength and is played socially and competitively. The objective is to throw or use a ramp device to propel light and soft leather balls as close as possible to a white ball which serves as the target. The game can be played individually, in pairs or in teams.
We will start play at 11.30am at the Narrendjeri Stadium followed by lunch at 12.30 at the venue’s cafe.
As always, family, friends and carers are welcome.
